friday inspiration

I'd like to take this opportunity to come back from the dead (not really, I've just been busy and absent-ish from the blog world this week) to deliver you a little inspiration for your weekend:

If I had a dollar for every time I've had this thought...well, I probably wouldn't still be childless. So there's that.

In happier news, have you looked at the 10 day weather forecast for Athens? (All 10 of my Athens readers are thinking OMG YES!!!!! and the rest of you are like who the heck cares?) Highs in the low 80s and lows in the upper 50s are making me feel HAPPPPPYYYYY...except that at press time, it's still in the 90s and 827% humidity, so that's kind of a downer...but there is hope for the 10-day-future!

Weekend plans include Mexican food (hahaha...let's be honest...my DAILY plans include Mexican food), going on walks (to enjoy the weather, of course), and...uh, maybe painting my nails? Ambitious, I know. It's just how I roll. Oh, and I might go ALL out and get some fall-themed beverage...I'm thinking maybe this:

 Or this:

Or maybe both. Because I'm crazy like that.

So that's all I've got for ya today. But raise your glass of fall-themed-beverage-of-choice for a toast before you go: Here's to a weekend that doesn't have ANY MOMENTS that lead to you thinking this-

  1. Ha I do love that one! I also love all of the fertility-related ones floating around on pinterest (ie: Tell me to "just relax" one more time, and I'll "just relax" by taking all this tension out on your face." Ha! And Happy Fall! We are getting a minor break from the disgusting hot/humid weather too!

  2. I haven't seen that ecard and I love it! We are finally getting cooler weather two (two states north of you) and I am so happy. I've already been burning my pumpkin spiced candle for about 2 weeks now.I like your plans, especially Mexican food. It's favorite. Have a good weekend.

  4. I hate when people say that. It's the worst. Right after "Don't you guys know about the birds and the bees?" Arrgghhh. My fall drink is the Spiced Apple Cider at Starbucks with extra caramel. It's really healthy.

  5. Ha ha ha! I loved that card.

And I am so loving the cooler fall weather we've been having here too. I revel in it. In fact, I bought tights today in anticipation of being able to wear them soon! Soon! SOON!!!

  7. Ugh. I've heard that one, too. Love this response! That would surprise people for sure! haha! I've seen about 4 bloggers post about the pumpkin spice latte (or similar pumpkin-coffee drinks) over the past few days...I have NEVER tried one! They sound delicious, though, and now it is the only thing I can think about! I've had the spiced apple cider (with caramel, of course) but your latte sounds yummier! Hope you have a weekend full of all good things :)

  9. I'm guilty of over-using that saying -- it's how I make sense of the world some days, but I promise I'll never use it on you... pinky swear.

all the legit bloggers love pumpkin spice lattes which leaves me.. unlegit... it's not that I don't like them, I just can't afford them ;)

I'm sorry I've been a terrible blog friend. Now that Saige is back in preschool I'm hoping to have some time to be the blogger I want to be.

    Missin' you.

I love comments almost as much as I love Mexican food. Seriously.
