I am so sorry :( From an outsider's view, you and Matt have a lot of good things coming...surgery is out the the way and you have connected with that new doctor. I have a very hard time believing or accepting that things won't soon turn around:) Sending thoughts and prayers your way today, Erika!
Ahhh I feel this way often. Well said. Is it terrible that I enjoy the co-miseration factor? :( Seriously though, I do hope your pain eases by like, tomorrow, and that you have one of those good days that keeps you going through these ones. Press on.
Hope deferred is painful indeed. Praying that the God of TRUTH will remind you of his love and goodwill for you in real and tangible ways today! Don't listen to those voices of despair, fear, and worry- they are not from above! Praying for physical healing as well.
I read this the other day and it resonated with this season of pain we all seem to be experiencing in one way or another. Hope it helps as a gentle reminder that you're not alone in any of this and we all have days where finding the hope to go on is an overwhelming challenge.
“Someone told me 'You know that God gives the hardest battles to His strongest soldiers.' It was meant to be encouraging, I’m sure. And normally I would take it as such. But right now I find it oppressive. I’m tired of the battle and I don’t want to fight anymore. I don’t want to have to be strong. This soldiering stuff sucks and I don’t feel particularly honoured that God entrusted a harder battle to me."
Praying that God will carry you through this battle and that there will be no more pain! Love ya!
:(
