the next level

I had nothing worthwhile to chat about today (just kidding, I probably did. I just slept in instead of blogging.) BUT I have something exciting to share!

I started a Facebook page for the blog (my blog? this blog? This whole sentence is awkward.)! Yay! Woo! How exciting!

It better be exciting. Or else I'll deactivate it. I'm serious. I don't want my name affiliated with anything that's not totally awesome, so you have my word on it. Awesome or bust.

The big question is: who will be my very first 'like'? I haven't even liked it myself yet! It's going to be a huge achievement for someone, that's for sure. Ha.

Oh, the OTHER big question is: who are the other people/webpages/entities using up the facebook URLs I wanted? I couldn't get facebook.com/somethingbeautiful OR .com/somethingbeautifulblog  ...??? I need to go do some recon on my competition, obviously.

So if you want to take your internet friendship with me to the next level, you can find me on Facebook now. Feel free to 'like' me or just stalk from afar- no judgment either way.

OH. I remembered the other two things I was going to talk about today. Better late than never, right?

Thing #1: I ended up downloading the whole Pentatonix Christmas album the other day. On iTunes! This is noteworthy because it is the very first thing I have ever downloaded from iTunes. Yes, I made it to age 30 and 357 days before downloading something from iTunes. Do I get an award? (And yes, I required help from a friend to complete the process. I managed to get it to the iTunes on my computer, but it was unnecessarily tricky trying to get it from there to my phone. Bah. Stupid technology.) Oh, and the album is awesome and totally worth $8. Go get it.

Thing #2: Are you watching the live Sound of Music tonight??! I am super excited. I was all about SoM when I was a kid...I think I watched it about once a week or so. So I'm really pumped. They probably should have picked me over Carrie, so I'll be looking for every opportunity to prove my point. See you there!

  7. I have never downloaded anything from iTunes either. It always seemed like a waste of money to me. I guess if I found something I couldn't live without I'd take the plunge. Maybe.

I thought the SoM was a little cheesy but the music was great. I had the soundtrack on tape (front and back, oh ya) and made my poor mom play it in the car all.the.time. She was a good sport.

  8. Blogger still hates you... you JUST showed up in my reading list, so I'm thinking the FB page is a good idea! Plus, if you fill the page with awesome content like festive toilet covers, you'll be a big hit!

  9. I'm going to go find and like your FB page! :) And, I was not happy with the SoM. :( I thought the acting (from a certain someone, but I don't want to be mean because I like her) was bad. Audra MacDonald was amazing. That was a GREAT casting call!

  10. Ohh Sound of Music. I didn't get to watch it last night, but I PVR'd it and have watched a bit this morning before going out...which is NEVER a good idea. So now I can't stop thinking about it and anticipating getting home. I decided that hubby should watch it with me and we can snuggle. So I let him know that, and he too is now "anticipating" getting home from work to watch it! (LOL or trying to figure out how to call in sick to his wife...)

  15. So did you like the South of Music? I was NOT a fan. Love me some Carrie, but really wish they wouldn't have done it live, rather a made for TV movie would have been SO much better. Carrie was NOT the best live actress!!

  16. Ok so I watched the SOM last night and it was KILLING ME. I really really wanted to like it cause I love the Julie Andrews version but nope. Couldn't do it. Sorry Carrie, you are no Julie Andrews. Maybe cause of her acting, or lack there of, skills?

Off to find your FB page!
